About the Role
Join London and Quadrant Housing Trust’s (L&Q) expanding Disrepair Surveying team within Property Services. Reporting to the Senior Disrepair Surveyor, you will manage a caseload of complex disrepair and complaint cases across a diverse housing stock including new builds, converted street properties, high rise flats, and purpose-built blocks. The role involves surveying properties, producing detailed reports and specifications in line with Building Standards and legal requirements, and working closely with internal and external legal teams to resolve cases promptly and effectively.
You will be responsible for managing both new and historic cases, prioritising your workload in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and budgetary control. Travel across L&Q’s large geographic area is essential, so a full driving licence and access to a car are required. The role offers hybrid working with 20% to 40% of contractual hours worked from the reporting office or site.
This position requires strong communication and influencing skills to work with a wide range of stakeholders including legal representatives, local authorities, residents, contractors, and consultants. You will use L&Q’s digital systems to track and manage key case information. This is a socially rewarding role with the opportunity to make a real difference to residents’ lives by ensuring safe, secure, and well-maintained homes.
L&Q values diversity and inclusion and is committed to creating a supportive working environment. Benefits include an excellent pension plan (up to 6% double contribution), 28 days annual leave rising to 31 days with length of service plus bank holidays, Westfield Health Cash Plan, non-contributory life assurance, up to 21 hours paid volunteering days, lifestyle benefits, Employee Assistance Programme, and more.
