Kings Hall Mews, London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, covering schemes across Medway in Kent and the London Boroughs of Bexley and Richmond.

Hours
Full-Time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with occasional out of hours working to meet customer needs.

Salary
£35,951 to £39,531 per annum, dependent on experience, plus ECU Allowance*

About the Role
Join our Living Supported Housing team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) as a Housing Officer within the Living Housing Management Team. This fixed term contract (up to 12 months) role involves delivering frontline housing management services for vulnerable customers aged 55 and over, and those with learning disabilities and mental health support needs. You will support customers to maintain their independence and live well by providing excellent housing management across multiple schemes.

You will be responsible for completing sign-ups and tenancy visits, carrying out health and safety checks, ensuring maintenance and repairs are completed, resolving neighbour disputes and anti-social behaviour, and offering tenancy advice and resident meetings. Working as part of an aspirational and forward-thinking team, you will help improve resident satisfaction and build trust within the community.

This role requires an essential car user with a full driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use. The post holder will receive an additional monthly car allowance. Agile working is supported with 20% to 40% of contractual hours worked from the reporting office or working location (hybrid working).

Additional Information

Requirements

Experience
- Housing management experience working with vulnerable people
- Working knowledge of health and safety requirements related to property management
- Proficient in using complex IT and housing systems, including MS Office and remote working technology

- Strong written communication skills with experience in writing letters, newsletters, witness statements, and reports
- Proven ability to solve problems independently and creatively with a strong customer focus

Qualifications
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use (essential car user post)
- Basic DBS certificate or willingness to apply for one
