About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced multi-skilled Carpenter with a background in social housing or local authority environments. You will undertake carpentry and other trade repairs and maintenance work, delivering high quality, ‘right first time’, and cost-effective building services to the business and its customers. Your work will comply with current legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice, safe systems of work, and recognised industrial standards, ensuring minimal damage to the fabric of the property.

As part of your role, you will be provided with a company vehicle (Metworks van) for working hours. You will also receive full uniform, all required PPE, and the latest handheld technology to support your work. You will have access to regular employee forums and feedback groups to contribute to the organisation’s continuous improvement.

Experience
Significant experience working as a multi-skilled carpenter within social housing or local authority environments is essential. You must have the ability to undertake associated trade tasks within competency and hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent. Experience driving company vehicles is required.

About you
You will be a reliable and skilled tradesperson committed to delivering high standards of workmanship. You must hold a valid manual UK driving licence with at least one year of significant driving experience. You will be expected to work safely and in accordance with all relevant legislation and standards.

Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent in carpentry or related trade is required. A valid manual UK driving licence is mandatory.
