About the Role
As a CAS Coordinator at the University of Roehampton, you will act as the UKVI SMS Level 1 User responsible for issuing Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) and managing related compliance processes. You will guide students through the visa enrolment process and maintain up-to-date knowledge of UKVI compliance requirements, including the Student Route guidance and policy. Your responsibilities will include issuing CAS for Student Route extensions, assessing previous study for time caps and academic progress, liaising with Colleges for academic approvals, and ensuring all relevant evidence is gathered to make evidence-based decisions in line with UKVI guidance and sponsor duties. You will assist with administrative procedures related to the upload of e-visas and collaborate with International Admissions and Recruitment teams to manage student records from the CAS Ready stage. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting Right to Study checks for international students during enrolment and responding to enquiries requiring specialist knowledge of UKVI compliance, particularly CAS and change of circumstances queries. You will also undertake any other duties commensurate with the seniority of the post as required by the head of department.

Requirements

Experience
Experience in UKVI compliance and student visa processes is essential. Proven ability to manage CAS issuing and student sponsorship duties in line with UKVI guidance is required.

You are detail-oriented, organised, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with academic and administrative teams. You have strong communication skills to guide students through complex visa processes and respond to specialist enquiries. You keep up to date with regulatory changes and are proactive in maintaining compliance standards.

Qualifications
A relevant qualification or experience in immigration compliance, student administration, or a related field is desirable. Training and continuous professional development in UKVI regulations will be supported.
