About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and community-focused Children and Families Project Officer to deliver impactful programmes across Greenwich and Bexley. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside residents, partners and stakeholders to improve outcomes for children, young people and families, helping communities become healthier, wealthier and happier.
Your role will include delivering projects and programmes that support children, young people and families across Greenwich and Bexley; building and maintaining partnerships across local authorities, health services, schools and community organisations; supporting the development of services that reflect the needs and voices of local residents; ensuring programmes are high quality, inclusive and demonstrate positive outcomes; monitoring performance, evaluating impact and contributing to funder and stakeholder reporting; supporting the promotion of services and opportunities to increase resident engagement; and ensuring safeguarding remains central to all aspects of delivery.
Typical daily activities may involve meeting with partners to coordinate services and opportunities for families, engaging with residents to understand local needs and priorities, reviewing project performance and tracking progress against plans and targets, producing reports, gathering insight and analysing data to demonstrate impact, and working with colleagues to promote programmes and strengthen community participation.
Experience
- Delivering programmes that improve outcomes for children, families or young people
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Working collaboratively with a range of partners and stakeholders
- Knowledge of safeguarding and best practice when working with children and families
- Experience monitoring, evaluating and demonstrating project impact
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills
- Confidence using data, reporting information and Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications
- A relevant professional qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
