About the Role
Do you want more local driving and to be a valued member of a delivery team? This role offers a varied driving position with Booker Group, where you will build relationships with regular customers and play a vital part in ensuring timely and professional deliveries. You will work 45 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime and fully funded CPC training hours provided. Our drivers are the beating heart of our business, delivering excellent service and representing 'The Face of Booker' at all times.

Key responsibilities include safely driving a clean and presentable vehicle, using delivery equipment such as cages, bars, straps, and tail lifts correctly, and assessing health and safety risks during deliveries. You will be responsible for safe loading and unloading at customer premises, adhering to company policies and GDPR guidelines, and supporting branch functions when not on the road, including vehicle cleaning, picking, wrapping, and loading. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to living the Booker Code of Business Conduct and Win Together behaviours.

Experience
Previous Class 2 driving experience is required, with multi-drop experience preferred. Knowledge of Class 2 vehicles and safe use of delivery equipment is essential. Previous use of PDA devices is preferable.

You will have resilience and a positive outlook, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. A smart and professional personal appearance is important as you will be representing the company. You must be able to assess health and safety risks and work safely at all times.

Qualifications
Class 2 vehicle knowledge and a valid Class 2 driving licence are required. Understanding of the vehicle defect policy and safe use of delivery equipment is essential.
