About the Role
Do you want more local driving and to be a valued member of a delivery team? This role offers a varied driving position with the opportunity to build relationships with regular customers. Our drivers are the beating heart of our business, playing a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with excellent service. You will be responsible for maintaining a smart and professional personal appearance, representing 'The Face of Booker' at all times. You will safely drive a clean and presentable vehicle, use delivery equipment such as cages, bars, straps, and tail lifts carefully, and follow the vehicle defect policy. Assessing health and safety risks during deliveries, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely deliveries, and adhering to company policies and GDPR guidelines are key parts of the role. You will also support branch functions when not on the road, including vehicle cleaning, picking, wrapping, and loading. Overtime opportunities and fully funded CPC training hours are provided.

Experience
Previous Class 2 driving experience is required, with multi-drop experience preferred. Knowledge of Class 2 vehicles and safe use of delivery equipment is essential. Previous use of PDA devices is preferable.

About you
You should have resilience, a positive outlook, and excellent customer service skills. The ability to work under pressure and lead by example while living the Booker Code of Business Conduct and Win Together behaviours is important. You must be able to assess health and safety risks and ensure safe loading and unloading of vehicles.

Qualifications
Fully funded CPC training hours will be provided as part of the role. A clean driving record and understanding of vehicle defect policies are required.
