About the Role
The Clinical Administration Team (CAT) Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations and administration within the GP practice. You will supervise the CAT Team to ensure timely and high-quality completion of tasks, manage workload allocation, and maintain team wellbeing. Key responsibilities include chairing team meetings, managing annual leave and sickness records, assisting with recruitment and appraisals, and liaising with management on training and HR matters. In addition, you will be responsible for a range of administrative duties such as processing mail, managing clinical documents via EMIS and Docman, coding patient correspondence, running clinical audits, supporting safeguarding records, arranging patient reviews, processing referrals and test results, and supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks. You may also be asked to support reception staff and participate in audits as required. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and motivate a team in a busy healthcare environment.
Experience
Experience in clinical administration or healthcare settings is highly desirable. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is advantageous.

Demonstrates a supportive approach to team wellbeing and staff development. Comfortable using clinical systems such as EMIS and Docman.
Qualifications
Relevant administrative or healthcare qualifications are beneficial but not essential. A willingness to learn and develop within the role is important.
