About the Role
Turner & Townsend is seeking Senior Commercial and Procurement Managers at all levels to join our growing Defence Team. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and exciting projects within the UK Defence Sector, spanning both Public and Private sectors. In this role, you will support Defence clients throughout the end-to-end commercial lifecycle, contributing to delivering world-class outcomes. Responsibilities include procurement and commercial strategy development, contract management, risk and performance management, negotiation, governance and compliance, business analysis, and problem solving. Security Clearance
Due to the sensitive nature of these projects, applicants must be SOLE UK Nationals able to achieve and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC). Holding existing SC clearance is desirable but not essential. Eligibility may be affected by place of birth, nationality, citizenship, or residency history.

Experience
- Applied knowledge of procurement principles and practices, including procurement, contract management, and contract placement (sourcing).
- Ability to select appropriate commercial approaches, assess trade-offs, and apply risk mitigation.
- Understanding and application of programme, portfolio, and project management tools.
- Experience in tender evaluation and commercial decision-making.
- Development and commercial assurance of business cases, commercial strategies, and contracting approaches.
- Development and implementation of contract and supplier management strategies to maximize value, motivate performance, and drive innovation.
- Proactive supplier performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Experience leading teams and providing strategic direction.
- Regular interaction with clients on complex and contentious issues, including chairing meetings with senior stakeholders.
- Supplier relationship management and category management.

Qualifications
- Professional qualifications in Business, Procurement/Supply Chain Management, Law, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Training or experience in Defence and Security Public Contracting Regulations (DSPCR), Public Contract Regulations (PCR), and/or Procurement Act 2023 is desirable.
- Knowledge of Government Procurement processes such as Single Source and Competitive procurement.
- Familiarity with New Engineering Contract (NEC), FIDIC, and/or Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) contracts is advantageous.
