About the Role
Ofcom’s mission is to make communications work for everyone. We are seeking an experienced social media influencer and partnerships manager to help explain Ofcom’s work in online safety and other policy areas. As the regulator for communications services across the UK, Ofcom oversees phone, broadband, TV, radio, airwaves, and postal services, with new duties to make online services safer for all. This is an exciting time to join a fast-evolving industry and a highly regarded Communications Department, previously named the best place to work in-house in the UK by PR Week.

The Communications Partnerships Manager will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, and managing a roster of ambassadors and influencers who will help communicate vital information about online safety to social media audiences. This hands-on role involves full ownership of managing relationships from initial contact through contract negotiation and ongoing collaboration. You will use research tools to scope and shortlist potential partners, conduct due diligence to ensure suitability, and work closely with colleagues on messaging and campaign outcomes.

You will bring a strong blend of influencer marketing and relationship management experience, with deep knowledge of digital media channels and what works on different platforms and audiences. You will play a central role in communicating important public information about online safety and other policy areas, engaging a wide range of partners and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

Experience
Demonstrable experience in digital communications with a strong track record in forming and managing influencer relationships. In-depth understanding of modern digital communications and the ability to make strategic recommendations about channels and spokespeople for specific messages or audiences. Proven commitment to measurement and evaluation, using data and insights to shape communications strategy.

About you
Excellent organisational skills with a thorough approach to delivery and enthusiasm for managing concurrent projects and meeting milestones. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly form trusted relationships with internal and external parties. Confident and persuasive personality, comfortable pitching opportunities and negotiating terms with partners or their representatives. Familiarity with Ofcom’s regulated industries, particularly online safety, is an advantage.

Qualifications
Not explicitly stated; however, relevant experience and skills in digital communications, influencer marketing, and relationship management are essential.
