About the Role
As a Senior Occupational Therapist at Westminster City Council, you will make a powerful contribution to the lives of people across Westminster. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the service alongside senior colleagues, prioritising the independence, dignity, choice, self-esteem and wellbeing of service users. Acting as a source of expert advice and guidance, you will manage a team of OT Associates, ensuring their support and care plans meet assessed support needs. You will oversee their performance and support your team’s growth and development for the benefit of service users. You will represent the OT service at internal and external meetings when required, collaborating with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. In emergency situations, you will ensure they are dealt with effectively and efficiently. This role offers the opportunity to work within a passionate, caring and committed Adult Social Care team dedicated to making a real difference in people’s lives.
Experience
Qualified Occupational Therapist with at least 5-7 years of post-qualifying experience, including a minimum of 3 years working within a local authority setting. Proven experience supervising staff and managing group dynamics. Demonstrated ability to promote partnership working and collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams.

You bring advanced skills in the assessment, treatment and care management of people with complex multi-pathologies. You are confident making effective decisions under pressure and possess excellent interpersonal, time management and people management skills. Qualifications
Registered Occupational Therapist with relevant professional qualifications. Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation related to adult social care and occupational therapy practice.
