About the Role
As a Senior Occupational Therapist at Westminster City Council, you will make a powerful contribution to the lives of people across Westminster. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the service alongside senior colleagues, ensuring that the independence, dignity, choice, self-esteem and wellbeing of service users are prioritised. Acting as a source of expert advice and guidance, you will manage a team of OT Associates, ensuring their support and care plans meet assessed support needs. You will oversee their performance, supporting your team to grow and develop for the benefit of service users. You will represent the OT service at internal and external meetings where necessary, collaborating with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement across the service. In emergency situations, you will ensure they are dealt with effectively and efficiently. Experience
A qualified Occupational Therapist with at least 5-7 years of post-qualifying experience, including a minimum of 3 years within a local authority setting. Proven experience supervising staff and managing group dynamics effectively. Demonstrated ability to promote partnership working and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.

Possess advanced skills in the assessment, treatment and care management of people with complex multi-pathologies. Able to make effective decisions under pressure. Excellent interpersonal, time management and people management skills. A supportive and collaborative team player eager to contribute to a welcoming and dynamic environment.
Qualifications
Registered Occupational Therapist with relevant professional qualifications. Knowledgeable about relevant legislation affecting occupational therapy practice within adult social care.
