About the Role
As a Computing Tutor within Westminster Adult Education Service, you will play a vital role in empowering adults across Westminster to develop essential computing skills and confidence in a digital-first world. You will deliver high-quality, learner-focused teaching to a diverse range of adults, from those building basic digital literacy to learners exploring advanced computing and software development topics. Your responsibilities will include preparing course outlines and lesson plans, coordinating resources and materials, and acting as a trusted source of advice and guidance. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting learners to overcome barriers and thrive in an increasingly digital society.
Experience
- Proven experience teaching adults, both face-to-face and online.
- Skilled in using online e-portfolio systems for assessment and quality assurance.
- Strong technical knowledge in Microsoft 365, web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), software development fundamentals (e.g. Python, JavaScript), IT support, hardware, networking, cybersecurity, and online safety.
