About the Role
Are you looking for a challenging role where you can learn new skills and deliver great food? As a Cook with Agincare, you will do more than just cook; you will work with our team to provide a high quality of life for those in our care. You will cater to a multicultural community including British, Caribbean, Guyanese, Jamaican, Trinidadian, African (including West African), Asian, and European residents. The ideal candidate will have experience and understanding of a variety of cuisines reflecting these cultural needs.

A day in the life of a Cook includes menu planning by collaborating with the home manager and residents to develop and implement menu ideas. You will have opportunities to showcase your skills and creativity during themed days and events. You will work closely with the wider staff to ensure residents’ specific nutritional and dietary needs are met, including modified food textures and allergies. You will also be responsible for kitchen management, acting as the main point of contact for the kitchen, managing stock, and maintaining hygiene standards.

Experience
A minimum of 12 months' right to work in the UK is required. Experience working in kitchens and understanding how to run a professional kitchen is essential. Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or experience supporting complex dietary requirements is desirable.

Qualifications
No formal qualifications are explicitly required, but relevant catering or culinary qualifications will be advantageous. A willingness to learn and develop your skills through fully funded training is essential.
