About the Role

As a Cost Manager within our UK Infrastructure business, you will support a variety of client and internal projects, contributing to the growth and success of UK infrastructure.
Your key responsibilities will include establishing professional relationships with clients, colleagues and project stakeholders; administering contracts in line with project objectives; providing accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to project completion; proactively managing cost variance and contract cash flow; collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage deliverables, KPIs and objectives including programme performance, cost control and value engineering; managing contract changes effectively to ensure governance and best practice; driving improvements in forecast and budget accuracy; providing commercial knowledge and support to stakeholders; negotiating and agreeing final accounts; and leading people and commissions as required.
Experience
Previous experience or strong understanding of:
- Contract Management (NEC3, Option C preferred)
- Cost Management
- Change management and control
- Valuation
- Risk Management
- Procurement
- Estimating and Pricing
- Reporting
- Collaborative approach and best-for-project attitude
- Sharing best practice
- People and commission management
- Identifying and driving efficiencies and improvements through the project lifecycle
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes, value management and value engineering
About you
Personable, enthusiastic and energetic with excellent communication skills. Able to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and project teams. Proactive in managing project costs and commercial aspects. Collaborative and committed to delivering best-for-project outcomes. Strong leadership capabilities to manage people and commissions effectively.
Qualifications
Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. Ideally hold or be working towards membership of an appropriate professional body or equivalent.
