About the Role
Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in Operations, where you will be the backstage powerhouse of our stores. This is a physically demanding, high-intensity role that keeps our stores running like clockwork. You will be responsible for stock, deliveries, and all vital behind-the-scenes work that ensures our shop floor stays full, clean, and ready for customers to shop. You will work fast, stay focused, and always be one step ahead, maintaining the flow of products with urgency and accuracy.

Flexibility is essential as you will work across the wider store where needed, adapting quickly to the pace and demands of retail. Being digitally confident is vital, as you will use digital tools to track deliveries and manage stock efficiently, always focused on availability and speed.

As a key team player, you will collaborate across functions and support colleagues throughout the store. This role involves operating mechanical equipment, so applicants must be 18 or over to comply with health and safety legislation.

Experience
No specific experience required, but previous retail or stock handling experience is advantageous.
