About the Role
An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen at Barnet Council for a Data and Finance Officer to join the Assurance and Public Protection Directorate. You will be a key member of the Customer and Business Development Team, supporting budget management and financial processes, administering case and data management systems, and producing accurate reports to help teams make sound decisions and deliver effective public services. The directorate ensures democratic accountability of council services, monitors compliance, and provides enforcement services to support a safer and healthier borough. Experience
- Knowledge and experience of financial processes and financial systems such as setting up customers and suppliers, creating purchase orders, invoicing, and issuing credit notes.
- Proven experience maintaining databases and case management systems, including user management, data quality assurance, and system improvements.
- Experience analysing data and producing and presenting statistical and management reports.
- Experience delivering high-quality customer service and operational or business support.
- Experience working in a local authority or similarly complex organisation is advantageous but not essential.
