About the Role
Join Prophix, a global leader trusted by over 3,000 finance teams across 100+ countries, as a Data Integration Engineer. In this role, you will contribute to connecting clients’ ERP and financial systems with Prophix One™ to unlock the full potential of their data. You will work closely with Professional Services and cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain integration solutions that automate the retrieval, transformation, and delivery of financial data.
This hands-on technical role focuses on API integrations, SQL-based data processing, cloud-hosted environments, and financial data workflows. You will gain practical experience working with ERP systems, secure data pipelines, and scalable integration architecture. Starting with well-defined integration tasks, you will progressively take on more complex problem-solving and solution design.
Key responsibilities include building and supporting integrations between client ERP/accounting systems (such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, D365, SAP, SunSystems) and Prophix, developing REST and SOAP API connections using JavaScript-based scripting, writing SQL queries for data transformation and validation, supporting secure SFTP workflows and cloud storage integrations (AWS/Azure), troubleshooting integration issues, and documenting integration logic to improve internal best practices.

Experience
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON
- Programming knowledge in JavaScript or a similar scripting language
- Basic understanding of ETL concepts
- Comfortable using AI tools responsibly to support tasks such as research, drafting, and data review

Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Preferred: Exposure to ERP or accounting systems
- Preferred: Experience working with financial datasets (GL, trial balance, transactions, dimensions)
- Preferred: Familiarity with API authentication methods (OAuth 2.0, tokens)
- Preferred: Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Preferred: Understanding of integration design patterns or data flow architecture
- Preferred: Interest or experience in contributing to solution design discussions for client integrations
