About the Role
London Borough of Harrow is seeking a Day Service Officer to work at the Kenmore Sensory Complex Needs hub. The role involves supporting people with learning disabilities and complex sensory needs by meeting their physical, behavioural, and emotional needs while respecting their individual rights and choices. The post holder will organise and facilitate appropriate community integration activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, including risk assessments for community activities, transport, and access in line with DDA requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about working collaboratively with families, carers, other providers, and professionals to deliver a high-quality day service. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for identifying opportunities that utilise service users’ skills and enhance their quality of life.

Experience
- Experience working with challenging behaviour and/or complex needs
- Experience of moving and handling people

- Knowledge of current legislation

- Physical ability to complete moving and handling duties

Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
