Our Care and Support Team (CAST) is looking for a passionate and dedicated Deputy Team Manager to join our amazing team and help make a difference today.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role within our specialist mental health service, providing assessment, intervention, and support for adults with complex needs. As Deputy Team Manager, you’ll work closely with the Team Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality, strengths-based and person-centred care. You’ll provide supervision, professional guidance, and leadership to social workers and assistant practitioners, while also maintaining a small, complex caseload.

Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Team Manager in leading and developing the team to deliver excellent practice.
- Providing supervision, performance management, and professional guidance to staff.
- Overseeing complex assessments, care planning, and case management for adults with significant mental health and social care needs.
- Acting as a Safeguarding Adults Manager, leading investigations and ensuring robust safeguarding practice.
- Promoting effective partnership working across health, social care, and community networks.
- Contributing to service improvement initiatives and quality assurance processes.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience supervising and developing staff within a busy social care environment.
- Strong skills in assessment, case management, and risk management.
- Experience working with adults with mental health needs and complex social care requirements.

Qualifications
- Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Work England.
- Strong knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation, mental health practice, and safeguarding frameworks.
- This post requires a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
