About the Role
Hackney Borough Council is one of the most dynamic and progressive local authorities in the UK, known for its resilience, vibrancy, and creativity. We are seeking four Development Officers to join our Housing Regeneration and Delivery team within the Regeneration service. One position is a permanent full-time role, and the others are 18-month fixed term contracts, including one part-time opportunity.
As a Development Officer, you will play a key role in delivering one of the most complex and exciting housing development and regeneration programmes in the UK. You will support a range of housing regeneration projects at all stages, from inception to completion, helping to provide genuinely affordable homes for families in need.
The Council is undertaking an ambitious regeneration programme across multiple housing estates and sites, aiming to build over 3,000 new homes in the next 10 years. This includes new council rented, shared ownership, and outright sale homes. The Housing Regeneration and Delivery teams lead the delivery of these projects, managing everything from setting briefs and selecting design teams to procuring contractors and developer partners.
Hackney Council values its staff as its most outstanding asset, committed to serving residents and achieving organisational goals. We are dedicated to equity, anti-racism, inclusion, and fairness across all aspects of life in the borough.
Please note that applications are accepted via an anonymous selection process without supporting statements or CVs.
