About the Role
The Development Officer, Trusts and Major Gifts, will support the Philanthropy team to nurture and develop high value, long-lasting relationships with Trusts, Foundations and individual donors and philanthropists. This role supports Development Managers and Senior Development Managers across their portfolio of fundraising activities relating to Trusts, Foundations and major donors. Key responsibilities include drafting, formatting and designing case for support documents for supporters and prospects, including exhibition proposals and reports. The postholder will also manage a focused portfolio of trusts, foundations and individual donors to secure four- and five-figure donations in support of the National Gallery’s work across all areas of the organisation.
Experience
Experience in fundraising, particularly with Trusts, Foundations or major donors, is highly desirable. Proven ability to manage relationships and deliver fundraising targets is advantageous.

You will be a proactive and organised individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work collaboratively within a team and have strong attention to detail, especially in preparing high-quality fundraising materials. A commitment to the values and mission of the National Gallery is essential.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or demonstrable experience in fundraising, development, or a related field are preferred but not mandatory.
