About the Role
Malorees Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Nurse/Practitioner to work under the instruction and guidance of the Class Teacher, Phase Leader, Inclusion Team, and Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will provide quality childcare and education, ensuring the needs of all children are met.

Main duties include participating in curriculum planning and evaluation, contributing ideas to termly, weekly, and daily plans as well as Individual Education Plans (IEPs). You will assist in preparing the learning environment and organising classroom resources, take responsibility for groups of children during various activities, and support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL) by implementing IEPs set by other professionals.

The role also involves accompanying children on educational visits, encouraging their development, independence, and problem-solving skills, observing and contributing to children’s written records, and maintaining respectful, warm, and responsive communication appropriate to children’s needs.

You will be expected to work inclusively, ensuring equal access to learning opportunities, support parents by valuing their involvement, attend to sick or injured children including applying First Aid, and provide intimate care when necessary. Moving and handling children safely according to Health and Safety guidelines is also required.

Additionally, you will provide a stimulating and effective curriculum to enhance children’s emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development, comply with all school policies and procedures, assist with child protection matters, and undertake other duties as required. You may also act as lead teacher during the short or long-term absence of the class teacher.
