About the Role
Oxfam Australia is seeking an experienced Economic Justice and Climate Programme Manager based in Plymouth, UK, to provide strategic leadership across climate and economic justice initiatives. This role is pivotal in positioning Oxfam as a leader in advancing just economies and climate resilience within the region. The successful candidate will lead a diverse team, ensuring high-quality programme design and delivery aligned with regional priorities, global frameworks, and systems-change ambitions. Key responsibilities include defining strategic thematic priorities in climate adaptation, economic justice, livelihoods, governance, and inequality; managing and developing a high-performing, inclusive team; ensuring integrated and transformative programme strategies; leading policy advocacy and influencing efforts; and strengthening partner support and localisation to promote equitable, partner-led systems change. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to long-term systemic transformation and to influence regional and global policy agendas on climate and economic justice.

Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in climate justice, economic justice, livelihoods, and inequality programming
- At least 6 years of progressive responsibility in related fields
- Minimum 3 years in a team leadership or management role

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Development Studies, Economics, Environmental Studies, Social Sciences, or equivalent qualification
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree combined with relevant postgraduate or professional qualifications and significant experience may be considered
