About the Role
Help shape positive outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As an EHC Co-ordinator within Hillingdon Council's SEND Service, you will work directly with children, young people and their families, guiding them through the Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessment process and supporting them throughout their SEND journey.

You will manage a caseload of children and young people aged 0 to 25 who are undergoing an Education, Health and Care needs assessment or who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Acting as a key point of contact for families, educational settings and professionals, you will coordinate the statutory assessment process, ensure children and young people remain at the centre of decision-making, and help secure the support needed to achieve positive outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include managing caseloads, coordinating assessments within statutory timescales, chairing person-centred meetings, drafting outcome-focused EHCPs, collaborating with education, health, social care and voluntary sector partners, attending annual reviews, supporting transitions, advising schools on SEND pathways, contributing to statutory decision-making, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with SEND legislation and guidance.

This role involves regular visits to schools and educational settings across the borough, so access to a car or reliable travel method is essential.

About You
You are organised, compassionate and committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND. Hillingdon Council is actively shaping its SEND services to implement upcoming SEND reforms and is dedicated to delivering the best possible support to children, young people and families. You will thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment and work collaboratively with educational settings and professionals.
