About the Role
As part of the onsite engineering team, you will contribute to the internal and external preventative, reactive, and corrective maintenance of plant equipment. The team’s goal is to continuously improve machine reliability, availability, and capacity to manufacturing standards. You will work to increase site operational effectiveness, improve project delivery, extend mean time between failure, reduce downtime, and manage and implement improvement plans. Driving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while ensuring strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements is central to this role.
Safety is at the heart of everything we do. You will liaise with the SHEQ team to resolve Health & Safety, environmental, internal audits, GMP, COSHH, and ISO quality issues. You will ensure all compliance checks are completed and correctly filed, maintaining full compliance with UK regulations and global manufacturing standards.
Your key responsibilities include providing both reactive and proactive, highly skilled maintenance services on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure; liaising with external contractors for reactive maintenance and scheduling planned service maintenance; requesting and checking RAMS, inducting personnel, providing permits to work, and overseeing contractor works onsite to ensure safety; following and completing planned maintenance (PMs, RMs & CMs) via a Computer Maintenance Management System and overseeing adherence and timely completion of work; actively participating in projects, continuous improvement, and modern manufacturing principles by identifying deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices, and processes; and assisting in the administration of the CMMS (Frontline) to ensure its accuracy, using it for all maintenance and stock activities.

Requirements

Experience
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Familiarity and experience with continuous improvement (CI)
- Previous health and safety training (proof of experience required, does not need to be in date)
- Experience working with maintenance systems and contractor management

Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical/Electronic Engineering (essential)
- BS7671 18th edition qualification (advantageous)
- Previous health and safety training (proof of experience required)
