About the Role
We are Global Guardians, the UK’s leading Property Guardianship Company dedicated to revitalising empty properties for the benefit of local communities. We provide sustainable and affordable solutions by placing working professionals as guardians in vacant buildings to keep them safe and secure. As an Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all properties under our guardianship schemes remain electrically safe and legally compliant. Your responsibilities will include inspection, testing, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in accordance with UK regulations. This role supports building safety, habitability, and statutory compliance requirements. Key duties include completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) within required timescales, ensuring compliance with BS 7671 and relevant electrical safety legislation, identifying and remediating electrical safety risks, maintaining accurate test certificates and compliance documentation, carrying out reactive and planned maintenance and repairs, installing and maintaining fire alarm and emergency lighting systems, working on 3-phase distribution and commercial power systems, responding to electrical faults impacting safety or building operations, ensuring electrical compliance prior to guardian occupation, and supporting audits with recommendations for system improvements while monitoring regulatory changes.

Experience
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in domestic or residential electrical environments.

Qualifications
Full UK Driving Licence required.
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
Testing & Inspection qualification (2391/2394/2395).
