About the Role
Local London is establishing a new sub regional Sector Hub as part of London’s move toward a more employer-led skills and employment system, as set out in the Mayor’s Inclusive Talent Strategy and the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP). This initiative aims to create a more coordinated and responsive system where employer demand shapes provision, pathways, and investment decisions, enabling residents to better access good jobs.
The Sector Hub will act as the central coordination function across boroughs, providers, employers, and partners, working closely with the Greater London Authority (GLA), Sector Talent Boards, and Pan-London Sector Hubs.
As the Employer Engagement Manager, you will lead and manage the Sector Hub, driving a coordinated and employer-led approach across the Local London sub-region. Your responsibilities will include leading day-to-day delivery, coordinating employer engagement activities across boroughs and partners, translating employer demand into aligned system priorities, collaborating with GLA Sector Talent Boards and Pan-London Hubs, managing a small team of Employer Engagement Officers, driving performance, reporting, data and evaluation activities, and building strong partnerships across boroughs, providers, and employers.
This is a high-profile role offering the opportunity to shape London’s employer-led skills system, work at the centre of a new sub-regional model with real influence, and help create a more coordinated and effective system for residents and businesses.
