About the Role
Established 85 years ago, Mollart is a precision mechanical engineering company renowned for the specialist design, development and manufacture of deep hole drilling machine tools, associated processes and cutting tools for international markets. The company operates in diverse sectors including aerospace, automotive, defence, oil, nuclear, semiconductor, telecommunications, medical, off-road and mold and die industries.

We are seeking an Engineering Apprentice to join our manufacturing business, supporting contract manufacture across multiple industry sectors. This apprenticeship offers a structured program that consolidates your experience and knowledge, enabling you to work safely in a machining environment, create your own programs, select and set tooling, and operate high value and complex machinery.

As an apprentice, you will develop skills in manual and computer-controlled machine tools used to produce very accurate, complex, and high-value engineering components. You will gain experience throughout the engineering process from initial enquiry to production, including computer aided design (CAD) and inspection.

The first year provides broad-based learning about the company, its products and processes, followed by specialised training to achieve the Engineering Technician Level 3 qualification covering manual and CNC machining, fitting and assembly, inspection, CADCAM and maintenance.

Attendance at college is required to achieve technical qualifications, complemented by hands-on engineering work at our sites.

Qualifications
5 GCSEs A*-C/9-4 including Maths and English or equivalent.

Training to be provided
Our apprenticeship scheme is designed to provide the best training possible, combining hands-on engineering work with scheduled attendance at local training providers. Apprentices work towards their certification with close academic guidance and practical experience on site.
