About the Role
Tenable is a family-owned precision engineering company with over 70 CNC sliding head machines at its London site and more than 250 across the UK. As an Engineering Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced CNC engineers to develop the skills needed to become a competent precision engineer. Your responsibilities will include setting up and operating CNC machines, ensuring machinery operates according to specifications, monitoring machine tools and equipment, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Duties will also include interpreting technical drawings, collaborating with engineering and production teams to optimise machine performance, and adhering strictly to safety protocols and procedures.
You will attend Kingston College for off-the-job training where you will complete a Level 3 qualification in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering. During your apprenticeship, you will develop practical skills and knowledge to support the fitting, assembly, testing, and maintenance of engineering components. This includes reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions, using hand tools and measuring equipment, carrying out fitting, installation and basic maintenance tasks, identifying and helping to solve faults on components and assemblies, and working safely to quality standards at all times.

Requirements

Experience
No prior experience required but a keen interest in machining processes, materials, and engineering principles is essential.

Qualifications
You will be enrolled to complete a Level 3 qualification in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering at Kingston College as part of your apprenticeship. No formal qualifications are required to start, just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
