About the Role
As an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Tutor, you will make a powerful contribution to the Westminster community by providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences. Your role will support learners to overcome barriers and develop their English language skills, confidence, and capabilities to fulfil their potential. You will offer expert advice and guidance, monitor learner progress through one-to-one sessions and tutorials, and assess learners in line with qualification specifications. Additionally, you will maximise learning opportunities, develop teaching resources, and facilitate learner progression. This role is part of Westminster Adult Education Service (WAES), an educational arm of Westminster City Council dedicated to offering transformative learning experiences across a wide range of subjects. WAES is committed to helping diverse communities achieve their potential and transform their lives.
Experience
A qualified teacher with recent experience teaching ESOL in adult, further, or community education settings. Experience preparing learners for accredited ESOL Skills for Life qualifications is essential. You will be confident in devising lesson plans or course outlines and assessing learners using RARPA processes.

Qualifications
You hold a subject specialist qualification at Level 3 or above in ESOL and an assessor award or are willing to work towards one.
