We are seeking a London-based trader for our UK and Europe rates desk. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing trades and constructing investment strategies in liquid European government bond, interest rates, and derivatives markets. This role requires functional competency across all rates-related linear and derivative products, with a focus on EUR and GBP denominated government bonds and interest rate derivatives, and the opportunity to expand into broader developed and emerging markets.
Key responsibilities include execution and management of firm-wide European cash and derivatives books, idea generation, and identification of trade opportunities by combining market knowledge with macroeconomic and quantitative analysis. The trader will also provide market insight to portfolio managers and support ad hoc requests across portfolio management functions.
Experience
Minimum of two years of successful trading experience in European government bonds, interest rates, and derivatives at a prominent buy-side or sell-side institution.
