As an Event Planner with BTP, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality planning and coordination for football and Level 2 events across the Force. Working closely with Event Commanders, operational colleagues and industry partners, you will ensure events are planned and delivered safely, effectively and in line with corporate standards. You will also provide real-time support to senior command teams during planned events and emerging incidents, helping to protect the railway network and those who use it.
Key responsibilities include liaising with Event Commanders and stakeholders before, during and after events to identify requirements, coordinate planning activity and support event debriefs; preparing and coordinating event plans, Operational Orders and associated documentation; developing contingency arrangements and maintaining decision logs; building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external partners; representing BTP at Safety Advisory Group (SAG) and planning meetings; acting as the BTP liaison within the Event Control Room for major events; referring to the Football and Event Planning Manual of Guidance; and assisting in coordinating welfare and accommodation arrangements for events.
This role offers a blended working arrangement of home and office-based work.
Experience
Proven experience managing competing priorities, meeting challenging deadlines and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Experience building positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and external partners, while effectively managing expectations.
About you
Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to coordinate complex activities and plans effectively. Proficiency in Office365 and Microsoft Teams.
Qualifications
Educated to a minimum of A Level standard (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
