In this role, you will manage the smooth and efficient operation of a kitchen operating across multiple outlets, maintaining the company’s reputation for food quality at all times. This single site contract includes separate kitchens for Hospitality and the Free-Issue Staff restaurant, as well as supporting the retail Coffee Bar with cakes, pastries, and tray bakes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a high volume, high quality Hospitality offering with circa 600 lunches served daily in the staff restaurant and a streamlined, healthy breakfast service
- Planning, preparing, cooking, and presenting food to company and client standards
- Ensuring correct issuing, usage, and accounting of supplies, including stock takes and food rotation
- Setting objectives and overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations, including recruitment and selection
- Assessing employee performance and identifying training needs and potential
- Staying current with industry food trends and ingredients
- Controlling and achieving agreed financial targets while maximising commercial opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation and procedures

Experience
Proven experience within a demanding kitchen environment at the relevant level is essential.

You understand that being a great chef involves teamwork and building strong relationships.
You are a team player with the ability to negotiate and build relationships with suppliers.
Qualifications
Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate or above is required.
