About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join the Edge of Care (EoC) team within Children’s Social Care in Tower Hamlets. The EoC team is a multi-disciplinary group consisting of Social Workers, Family Practitioners, Psychologists and a Family Therapist. The team provides individual and family therapeutic support to children, young people and parents/carers to enable them to remain in, or return to, the care of their family. The service supports children and young people subject to Child in Need, Child Protection and Looked After Children plans.
The post is line managed by the CAMHS Senior Psychologist within the EoC team, with clinical supervision provided by a senior Systemic Psychotherapist in wider Tower Hamlets CAMHS.
Main duties include:
- Providing systemic interventions to parents, carers and children on social care plans with significant parenting, relationship and behavioural difficulties.
- Working collaboratively with other team members, bringing a systemic perspective to family work.
- Providing systemic supervision to team members and Children’s Social Care staff.
- Supporting the development of systemic practice and training within Children’s Social Care.

Experience
Experience working with families facing complex parenting, relationship and behavioural challenges within a social care context is essential.

Local knowledge of Tower Hamlets and its diverse cultural and ethnic communities is desirable. Qualifications
Applicants must have completed the four-year Systemic Clinical MSc and be registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
