About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant who will report to the Finance Officer/Trust Financial Controller and provide a high standard of financial, accounting and administrative services.
As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining the financial procedures and systems of the schools. Working within the central finance team, your responsibilities will include assisting in ensuring robust financial accounting and ordering systems, processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently with VAT compliance, assisting with procurement by processing purchase orders, invoices and staff expenses, following up on outstanding payments and reporting as required to the Finance Manager, maintaining internal control procedures and preparing information for auditors, reconciling supplier statements and updating the finance system accordingly, and managing communications with stakeholders to resolve finance-related queries.
Experience
Experience of using information systems including computerised systems in an administrative environment. Strong administrative skills with capability in financial accounting, reporting, and record keeping. Knowledge of business data processing for accounting and financial information.

Qualifications
GCSE English and Maths A* - C / 9 - 4. Proficiency in operating computers, spreadsheet software, and accounting software.
