About the Role
The Traded Products Valuation team is a specialist function within Commercial Banking Finance responsible for valuation activities related to derivative and traded product exposures across the group. These exposures span multiple divisions, providing insight into dynamic businesses including Trading, Treasury, and Insurance.
The team serves as a knowledge centre for derivative products, offering valuable insights to senior management. It plays a central role in forward-looking commercial opportunities such as new product approvals, significant transactions, and IT infrastructure projects. With substantial investment planned for the Markets businesses, this is an exciting area to join.
Additionally, the team manages the group's Prudential Valuation Adjustment (PVA) process, collaborating closely with key partners to improve and optimise the model in a robust and auditable manner. PVA calculations support group-wide activities including planning and stress testing. The team leads key governance through the Valuation Committee and Prudential Valuations Steering Committee and acts as the initial contact point for the PRA regarding valuations.
We are an approachable team committed to supporting your development and answering your questions.
