About the Role
As a Finance Officer, you will support several HALO programmes by providing high-quality financial analysis, advice, and operational support. You will work closely with programme teams around the world, helping ensure strong financial management, donor compliance, and accurate budgeting. Key Responsibilities
Donor Contract Management: Support the production of accurate and timely donor financial reports and fund requests, assist in the development of donor budgets using HALO’s financial planning system (Adaptive Insights), contribute to improving systems, tools, and processes for efficient budgeting and forecasting, and support financial monitoring of grants and contracts including forecasting costs to completion in collaboration with programme teams.
Programme Support: Assist programmes in preparing country budgets aligned with anticipated donor funding, prepare and post monthly journals in the accounting system, and support the review and reconciliation of implementing partner financial reports and payment requests.
Programme Compliance: Assist with monitoring compliance with overseas statutory requirements such as company registration, financial reporting, and taxation, support compliance with donor regulations and HALO financial and logistics standard operating procedures including desk- and field-based audits, and assist in preparing documentation for grant and contract audits while liaising with external auditors and country teams.
General: Uphold HALO’s core values and standards, promote its ethos and mission statement, and ensure familiarity with and adherence to all HALO policies and procedures, especially the code of conduct and safeguarding.
Experience
Strong, demonstrable experience in a finance role. Advanced Excel skills including data analysis (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
