
Location
Enfield site - 79 Windmill Hill, EN2 7AF, London. Apprentices must reside in Enfield, Barnet, Haringey, or Waltham Forest at the start of the programme. Attendance at Carshalton College (SM5 2EJ) one day per week during term time is required.
Hours
Full-time apprenticeship with on-site work and college attendance one day per week during term.

About the Role
This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in plastering, painting and decorating, tiling, and general finishing work on construction projects while completing the Finishing Trades Foundation Apprenticeship (Level 2). Based within the construction/finishing trades team, you will support the delivery of high-quality finishing works across various projects, developing your technical skills and industry knowledge. Under supervision, you will assist with preparation of work areas, support tradespeople in finishing activities, learn correct use of tools and materials, maintain a safe and organised working environment, and follow health and safety procedures. You will attend college training and complete all associated coursework. This role is designed to train and develop you into a competent and reliable tradesperson with the opportunity to progress into a full-time skilled role upon successful completion. You will gain a recognised Level 2 qualification in Finishing Trades and develop a strong understanding of construction site operations and standards.
Experience
No prior experience required. A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

Training Provided
Structured on-the-job training under supervision of experienced tradespeople and site supervisors. Guidance, demonstrations, and support across plastering, painting and decorating, tiling, and other finishing trades. Regular feedback and progress reviews. Additional Information
Work may be physically demanding and take place indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions with early starts. Reliable travel is essential. Successful completion may lead to a full-time skilled operative role with opportunities for further qualifications and career progression.
