About the Role
As a Fire Door Inspector, you will work closely with the Fire Safety Officer and the wider Housing team to deliver Camden's fire door inspection programme across the Council's residential housing portfolio. Your responsibilities will include inspecting communal fire doors within residential blocks to ensure compliance with fire safety legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. You will identify defects, raise and monitor remedial works, undertake post-inspections, and maintain accurate records to support resident safety and building compliance.
This role supports the effective delivery of Camden's fire safety objectives, ensuring operational KPIs are met while providing a professional, customer-focused service to residents and stakeholders.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires a Basic DBS check.
Experience
Proven experience inspecting fire doors within residential settings is essential. A good understanding of fire safety legislation, passive fire protection, and industry best practice is required.

You are confident in identifying defects, recommending remedial actions, and maintaining accurate inspection records using digital systems. Qualifications
