About the Role
As a Fitness Manager with The Gym Group, you will support the General Manager in the successful running of the gym and deputise in their absence. You will be passionate about fitness and committed to embracing our members, teams, and culture. You will embody our company values and encourage others to do the same. Your core duties include responsibility for member engagement by leading the in-gym service offering to drive member satisfaction scores forward, line management and leadership of fitness trainers, engaging and motivating the team to perform at their best, and role modelling The Gym Group’s values. You will take ownership of the Group Exercise offering by developing the class timetable and upskilling the team to deliver. A result-driven mindset with a keen interest in driving the commercial performance of the gym is essential. You will ensure high operational standards on site through effective management of cleaning and maintenance checks, including liaising with third-party suppliers. Compliance with company Health & Safety policies and completion of daily, weekly, and monthly checks is required. You will support the GM with onsite administrative tasks such as rotas, time tracking, and security checks, and act as a keyholder, being a point of call in emergencies. Additionally, you have the opportunity to personal train in the gym around your employed hours, managing your own time and business while retaining 100% of your earnings with no annual licence fee.

Experience
Proven track record of success in fitness management or a similar role is highly desirable. Experience leading and motivating teams to deliver excellent member experiences is essential.

Qualifications
You are a Level 2 qualified Fitness Instructor or currently studying for this qualification.
