About the Role
As the Foundation School Co-ordinator and Study Leave Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Foundation Programme training within the Trust, ensuring all standards are met. Your responsibilities will include organising and scheduling teaching sessions, recruiting speakers, and liaising with departmental administrators to secure bookings in advance. You will record teaching attendance, edit recorded sessions, and manage the Foundation teaching pages on Elev8. Additionally, you will collate and analyse teaching feedback to maintain quality and send feedback and certificates to speakers.

You will assist with booking training such as Simulation education and Advanced Life Support, monitor the Foundation Mailbox to respond promptly to queries, and maintain spreadsheets to manage the allocation of Foundation Doctors to posts and rotations. Liaising with the London Foundation School, you will assist doctors in difficult circumstances and manage eportfolio accounts by adding rotations, changing supervisors, and addressing portfolio queries.

You will contribute to the development, organisation, and delivery of the Trust's Foundation doctor induction programme and support Resident Doctor induction days by organising, registering, and welcoming incoming doctors while assisting the PGME team. General PGME activities include managing the PGME Mailbox and improving PGME webpages.

Under the supervision of the Study Leave Co-ordinator, you will ensure study leave processes are correctly administered and regularly updated. You will accurately record study expenses payments to ensure reimbursement from NHSE, liaise with NHSE to review eligibility of locally delivered courses for funding, and submit funding requests. You will contribute to monthly reviews of income from the Education Contract to ensure correct reimbursement to Trust budgets (£220,000 per annum). You will also ensure that applications for study leave and expenses are authorised and that financial claims are properly evidenced.
