About the Role

The post holder will teach and manage learning on a range of courses including Pre-Entry, Entry Level 1-3 and Level 1 Foundation Learning and Vocational Steps Courses. The role will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and support to students within the Foundation Studies and Vocational Steps provision, enabling learners to develop the skills, confidence, independence and qualifications needed for successful progression into further education, employment and adulthood. The postholder will create an inclusive, aspirational and supportive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students, including those with additional learning needs, EHCPs, SEMH and barriers to education. They will plan and deliver engaging and differentiated learning experiences that promote personal development, employability, independence, English and maths development, and positive destinations for all learners. The lecturer will contribute to outstanding student outcomes through effective curriculum delivery, strong pastoral support, collaborative working with colleagues and external agencies, and a commitment to safeguarding, equality, wellbeing and continuous quality improvement. The role supports the department ethos of encouraging every learner to “be the best they can be” while contributing positively to the wider strategic aims of the college.

Experience
Experience in teaching or working with learners at Pre-Entry, Entry Level and Level 1 Foundation Learning and Vocational Steps courses is desirable. Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs, EHCPs, SEMH or barriers to education is advantageous.
