As a Founder Support Executive, you'll be one of the first people aspiring founders meet on their Virgin StartUp journey. You'll help entrepreneurs navigate the Start Up Loans programme, offering guidance, encouragement and practical support as they take the exciting first steps towards building their business. Every day is different, and every conversation has the potential to help bring a new business to life.

What you'll be getting stuck into:
- Be the first point of contact for founders applying to the Start Up Loans programme, creating a brilliant first impression.
- Speak with aspiring entrepreneurs to understand their business ideas, ambitions and readiness to begin their journey.
- Review applications and supporting information, ensuring everything is in place before introducing founders to a Business Advisor.
- Manage your own caseload, keeping founders engaged, informed and supported throughout the application process.
- Signpost applicants to the most appropriate support or funding options where the programme isn't the right fit.
- Keep systems and records accurate while working closely with colleagues to deliver a smooth, joined-up experience.
- Support the wider team by managing enquiries, handling calls and helping keep the programme running brilliantly behind the scenes.

Experience

About you
A genuine interest in start-ups, entrepreneurship and helping people achieve their ambitions. Brilliant communication skills and confidence speaking with people over the phone and via email. Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities. A proactive, positive approach and the confidence to take ownership of your work. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
