About the Role
Get Golfing is a charity dedicated to improving lives through golf by making its courses and clubhouses accessible to all and central to the communities it serves. The Golf Experience Assistant will support the Golf Experience Manager to ensure smooth and efficient operations for all golf course users, delivering attentive and efficient service to enhance the overall customer and member experience.
Key responsibilities include being the face of the golf operation across various service areas such as golf check-in reception, starter on the first tee, or marshal on the course, always providing exceptional customer service and effectively resolving any issues on the day. You will manage tee sheets to maximise availability, adhering to Get Golfing’s 4-ball policy.
Additional duties involve contributing to the retail operation at The Arkley 9 golf shop by maintaining well-presented inventory, ensuring upkeep and maintenance of golf buggies, rental clubs, and other equipment, and managing buggy rentals with signed liability forms.
Providing excellent customer service to members and guests is essential, including addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally to maintain high standards of integrity. You will also foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that enhances the clubhouse and golfing experience.
Administrative tasks include processing payments and tournament entries using the golf management system, maintaining accurate records of reservations, equipment rentals, and sales, and assisting with reporting and documentation as required.
Experience
- Experience in golf environment preferred
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills ensuring positive interactions with members, guests, visitors, and colleagues
- Strong customer engagement skills with the ability to build relationships and resolve issues effectively
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills
