Our Group Corporate Affairs function is widely recognised as one of the most effective and respected corporate affairs teams in the FTSE 100. We engage with politicians, policymakers and regulators on critical issues such as housing, infrastructure, agriculture and financial inclusion.
As a Group Public Affairs Manager, you will support senior leaders and experts by interpreting government policy impacts and engaging with ministers, MPs, local leaders and civil servants to advocate for policy change and share insights. This role involves frequent in-person visits to collaborators in Westminster.
Your responsibilities will include identifying and advocating for the Group's positioning on UK and devolved government policy, representing the Group at external meetings, writing political briefings for senior leaders, coordinating responses to government consultations, monitoring political issues affecting the Group, organising top-tier events with politicians and partners, maximising the impact of Group announcements with political audiences, and managing enquiries from MPs with sensitivity and diligence.
Experience
Recent experience working within Westminster politics, civil service, policy think tanks or local government is essential. We are particularly interested in candidates with five or more years' experience.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of consumer finance, financial inclusion and/or financial empowerment policy landscape is highly desirable.

Flexible and adaptable to fast-paced environments and urgent demands from internal and external partners.
