About the Role
Join L&Q’s Strategy and Business Planning Team as the Head of Business Planning, a senior leadership role reporting to the Director of Strategy and Business Planning within the Governance and Transformation Directorate. This critical position will lead the Business Planning team to develop and deliver short- and long-range business plans aligned to the next corporate strategy covering the 2026-31 financial years.

You will collaborate with senior colleagues across L&Q to mature business planning and performance reporting approaches, embed long-range planning aligned to corporate strategy and financial planning, and strengthen the alignment between business planning and enterprise risk management. You will also lead assurance and reporting on corporate strategy execution and enhance scrutiny of business plans and performance through governance groups.

Managing a team of Business Planning Partners and Officers, you will oversee the development of ‘Run the Business’ plans, performance frameworks including KPIs and PIs, and ensure governance arrangements provide appropriate oversight and scrutiny.

Experience
- Proven senior leadership experience managing direct and indirect reports, enabling teams to deliver successful outcomes
- Experience working at C-Suite and Board level
- Highly skilled communicator and influencer at all levels, capable of representing L&Q externally and driving business-wide change
- Expertise in translating corporate strategy into multi-year business plans
- Knowledgeable in developing and managing performance management and assurance frameworks
- Experience working with Board, Committee and Officer-level governance groups to ensure oversight and scrutiny of business plans and performance reporting
