About the Role
Situated in the heart of the historic city of York, with the addition of our London Campus, York St John University is a distinguished higher education provider known for quality academic teaching, research, and a supportive community. Our London Campus, established in 2018, offers a diverse range of postgraduate taught programmes, Master’s in Research and Top-Up Degrees, primarily in business, healthcare management and technology. The campus serves approximately 3,400 students and is supported by over 70 faculty and staff across key departments.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the Employability and Enterprise team and drive employability activity across the London Campus. You will deliver high-quality services for a diverse community of postgraduate and undergraduate international students, overseeing placements at scale, particularly for two-year master’s programmes featuring a Year in Professional Experience.
You will build and manage strong partnerships with employers to create pipelines for placements, work experience, graduate recruitment, and executive education. Developing impactful employer-student engagement events, sponsorships, and industry collaborations will be key to enhancing graduate outcomes and strengthening our reputation.
Providing strategic leadership to the Employability and Enterprise team, you will ensure services are distinctive, student-focused, and aligned with industry needs. You will also lead the Enterprise Academy, supporting entrepreneurs who contribute to our programmes and embedding enterprise across the curriculum.
Additionally, you will oversee our business incubator, fostering innovation and entrepreneurial growth, and develop a strong London Campus alumni community to facilitate mentoring, placements, and wider opportunities for students and graduates.

Proven leadership experience in careers, employability, or enterprise services with a strong track record of employer engagement and partnership development.
