About the Role
As a Home Delivery Driver at Sainsbury's, you will be responsible for driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps, ensuring deliveries are on-time and in excellent condition. You will complete checks to ensure the van is organised, clean, roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before setting off. You will drive safely across a variety of locations and conditions, from busy residential streets to narrow country lanes. Providing excellent customer service is key, supporting customers with any questions or substitutions and keeping them informed of any delays. When not out on deliveries, you will assist across the store as needed, contributing to a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will build strong knowledge of products, services, and promotions to offer helpful recommendations. Sainsbury’s has implemented in-cab AI cameras to promote safe driving and compliance with road laws, ensuring a safer driving environment for all.
