About the Role
This fixed-term maternity cover role (12-14 months) starting ASAP will support and coordinate the effective delivery of the Bank’s HR function across the full employee lifecycle. Key responsibilities include recruitment, onboarding, employee administration, absence management, Learning & Development, performance management, and employee relations. You will ensure HR administration, processes, and records are managed accurately, efficiently, and consistently while providing day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers.

Main Duties
Administration
Providing administrative support to the HR team, handling HR correspondence, organising meetings, and managing documentation. Drafting employment documents such as offer letters, employment agreements, amendments, and end of employment confirmations. Managing and maintaining HR systems including employee records, holiday and sickness absence management. Coordinating new joiners and leavers processes, creating and maintaining employee files, requesting new joiner email and IT accounts, and ensuring timely completion of leavers processes. Ensuring employee files comply with Bank guidelines and internal audit requirements. Preparing reports on HR metrics.
Recruitment
Maintaining the recruitment database and coordinating recruitment administration, including recording incoming CVs and tracking candidate progress. Assisting with all recruitment process aspects and documentation.
Health and Safety
Championing health and safety programmes, training employees on safety procedures, and maintaining related documentation.
Other
Assisting with administration, documentation, and coordination of Training, Performance Management, Employee Relations, and other employee lifecycle areas. Supporting ad-hoc HR tasks, projects, and new HR initiatives. Performing any other tasks as directed by the HR Manager and UK CEO.

Requirements

Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years HR administration experience.
- Experience managing a high volume of HR administration and coordination activities.
- Good Microsoft Office skills; advanced Excel skills are an advantage.

Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent demonstrable relevant experience.

Independent Action & Decision Making
The role requires a high level of independence in managing day-to-day HR administration and prioritising workload based on urgency and business needs. The HR Executive is expected to use sound judgement when making routine decisions, work proactively by recognising missing information, errors or potential risks, and take a resourceful, solution-focused approach using available information and guidance before seeking further input.

Accountability for Actions/Results
The HR Executive is expected to take ownership of assigned work with an end-to-end understanding of the process, ensuring accuracy and completeness by carrying out appropriate checks and correcting errors promptly.
