About the Role
Triptease is a fast-growing, global travel-tech business helping hotels win back direct bookings from OTAs by empowering independent and group hotels with competitive tools. Operating across five legal entities (UK, US, Singapore, Portugal, and Spain) and supporting people in around 16 countries, we are scaling rapidly. This is a rare opportunity to lead the entire People function with a direct line to the CEO. You will be the sole voice shaping people operations across a genuinely global business, a remit usually reserved for much larger teams, making this a career-defining role.
We are investing in building a modern, efficient People function that leverages AI and automation to work smarter. You will have real scope to introduce AI-enabled tools and processes that enhance speed and effectiveness rather than maintaining the status quo.
Success in this role will be measured by how well you support business growth and scaling, develop managers and talent, and make the People function more efficient and future-ready.
Main Responsibilities
- Extract and submit payroll data from HRIS (HiBob) to Finance for UK, Spain, Portugal, USA, and Singapore, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local employment laws.
- Maintain HiBob as the core HR system, updating salary, job titles, and employee records.
- Manage EOR and contractor arrangements through Deel, aligning data between Deel and HiBob.
- Monitor employment law changes across operating countries and communicate updates to managers.
- Liaise with the company’s PEO provider on employment queries.
- Act as first escalation point for managers on employee issues and manage employee relations cases including grievances, sickness, parental leave, and flexible working requests.
- Manage return-to-work processes and conduct regular 1:1s with managers to check team wellbeing.
- Coach managers through performance improvement plans and conduct exit interviews.
- Administer company benefits platform, approve reimbursements and invoices.
- Design and deliver annual engagement surveys, run departmental workshops, plan culture initiatives including quarterly events and annual company getaway.
- Prepare quarterly Townhall presentations, update senior management on people matters, and attend SMT meetings.
- Manage office supplies, upkeep, and facilities issues.
Experience
- Proven experience as a generalist HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor, ideally as a sole contributor or in a lean HR team.
- Experience managing HR across multiple countries and legal entities, including EOR and/or PEO models.
- Working knowledge of employment law in at least two of the following: UK, USA, Spain, Portugal, Singapore.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (HiBob or similar) and EOR platforms (Deel or similar).
- Experience coordinating payroll with Finance across multiple countries.
- Strong employee relations casework experience.
- Confident communicator, comfortable advising and presenting to senior leadership.
- Curiosity or experience using AI tools to improve HR processes and efficiency.
- Highly organised and able to manage a broad, varied workload independently.
About You
You are an experienced HR generalist excited by the opportunity to build and shape a People function rather than just run an existing one. You think in systems and processes, not just individual cases, and are genuinely curious about how AI and automation can enhance People operations. You are equally comfortable advising the CEO as supporting managers through difficult conversations and want a role where your impact on the business is visible and direct.
